Goal House Meeting (Listening Session)

What does the Lord require of you?
To do justice, love mercy,
and walk humbly with your God.

-Micah 6:8

GOAL is a growing ministry coalition of 28 congregations in Greenville County, which St. Matthew joined this year.  GOAL works to solve community problems through the power of organized people.  A critical step in this process is to identify the problems facing our community.  GOAL does this through house meetings within its member congregations.  The desire is to have as many of our church attendees go to one of the meetings.

St. Matthew will be hosting these house meetings throughout September and October.  We are coordinating with Sunday School classes to plan some during the usual Sunday morning meeting times.

For those in our congregation who are not currently involved in a Sunday School class or cannot make it to those sessions, Cathy and Kevin Harrington have graciously offered to host two sessions at their home.  These will be on September 20th and 25th from 7-8:30 pm.  Please RSVP for these sessions using the link below so we can have a head count. (Contact information and address are included at the link.)

If you cannot make any of these sessions but would like to provide input, please reach out to Emily O’Brian at eobrian831@gmail.com.

We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your participation in this important piece of our justice ministry!
