Annual Events!
Sports: We had a successful Basketball season. Registration for the 2013-14 season will begin in August 2013.
Pumpkin Patch: For over 30 years our church has supported the youth program with the pumpkin patch. Each October we open up the front lawn for hundreds of pumpkins. Last year we sold over $31,000 in pumpkin sales! We’re already looking forward to next year!
Christmas Shopping for Families: This year the youth were able to help a family of nine! With the help of Fostering Great Ideas, we supported a family with seven children. This family touched our lives and we had a fantastic time shopping for each of the children and their parents.
Retreats: This year we went to Awanita Valley and joined with 5 other United Methodist Youth Groups from the Greenville District for a Fall retreat in October.
Annual Ski Trip: We had another fantastic ski trip over the MLK holiday weekend at Winterplace in West Virgina. Our worship leaders for the weekend were Rev. Edward McCutcheon and Jay Knudsen.
Salkehatchie Summer Service: a week-long mission trip in South Carolina for youth 14 and older. We annually send a large group to serve in McCormick County at the Baker’s Creek Camp. For more information about Salkehatchie, click here!
