Amy attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC as a recipient of the AJ Fletcher Scholarship in Music for Piano. She graduated with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Piano Performance. She performed as solo pianist with the Raleigh Symphony on several occasions and was the winner of the concerto competition with the symphony. Amy accompanied the Meredith Chorale as pianist on a Scandanavian tour while in college.
Amy has held multiple church music director positions both as organist, pianist and music ministry leader. Along with her tenure as a public school music teacher for over 20 years, she was the Director of the Johnston County Chorus and Vocal Director for the Carolina
Youth Theatre for over 10 years.
Amy moved to Greenville from Raleigh three years ago where she currently teachers chorus and music theatre at Bryson Middle School. Along with her passion for musical productions, she enjoys singing, playing the piano and encouraging students and adults to discover and share their musical talents in the school, church, and community. Amy enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog Jax. She is blessed to be a part of the St. Matthew church family.
